Beach Festival or Water Festival is usually held in Batu Burok Beach in Kuala Terengganu which includes traditional games, cultural performance, exhibitions and many contests. Apart from many activities, all kind of local delicacies are sold in the booths.

Nasi Dagang is a rice speciality of Terengganu. The Dish is made by cooking rice and glutinous rice together, to which is then added coconut cream once it is cooked. It is eaten with it's own specially made side dishes of tuna curry and a light vegetable pickle. Simplicity is its essence.
              Nasi dagang is a Malaysian dish consisting of rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and extra ingredients such as fried shaved coconut, hard-boiled eggs and vegetable pickles. Nasi Dagang literally means "Trading Rice". It is a well-known breakfast food in the states on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, such as Terengganu and Kelantan. 

The most famous Nasi dagang of Terengganu comes from Kampung Ladang, an area within the Kuala Terengganu district. Nasi Dagang can also be considered as a festive dish in Kelantan because it is prepared at home for the morning of Eid ul-Fitri, a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, to be eaten as a breakfast before or after the Eid prayers in the mosque.

Redang Island is still a very much covered by the Rainforest, thank for the government and local islande effort. The ideal time for going for a trekking is at a round 7’o’Clock in the morning. Where you will find the air very fresh and protected by the Strong heat of the morning mist.The trek that u can find here is about 2.5 Km trail that lead from Pasir Panjang a beautiful beach to Teluk Dalam, where u can find a Kampung or village. The trail at the hilly island of Redang is fascinating in its own way.Make sure that you bring a camera.with and extra role of two. The trail is well marked and trodden as this place is a favourite path for local and some staff on the island that you may meet during they morning Jog. During you journey you may encounter a small stream and a pool alive with local Catfish,If you are lucky u may encounter Redang’s unique wildlife but harmless animals such as the shy Kancil “mousedeer” looking for food .(please don’t surprise or scare them as the Kancil here are can easily day offright...No..joking.!!) .Sometimes there might be long tailed macaque monkey hanging on the trees staring at you,sometime on the tree you can find flying squire, along the way you will see many wonder that are created by the mother earth and also a very beautiful and scenic view of The tranquil and isolated bay of Berjaya Redang Beach Resort is accompanying by snowy white sandy beach . the trail will end at Berjaya Redang ResortFollowing the properly sealed road will lead you to the “Kampung Nelayan” Redang Fishing village.The village here you can find house that are Centered around a small mosque which sits up on a small hill. You can find a mamak stall or local Restaurant for some humble food for a change , Mee Goreng (Fried Noodle) , a cup of KoPi Kaw ( coffee ),or you could tried the famous Nasi lemak and Roti Canai here .

TERMINAL ISLAND TERMINAL ISLAND BIG & SMALL
Large and Small Perhentian Island with shining white sand beaches and clear blue sea water realize the dream of solar rays lovers. Clear water and clear sea make this island a top choice among scuba divers and snorkeling.Visitors can stay at any of the island and the distance between the two islands is only 10 minutes by boat.

COTTON & Gemia ISLAND
Kapas Island is located just off the mainland coast of Terengganu. This small tropical paradise inhabited various types of coral reefs and rich marine life. The island is famous for squid jigging at certain seasons. Gemia island is privately owned island with just a resort. It is the ideal destination for a quiet getaway with the activities such as snorkeling, jungle walks, and beach games. Departure to the island are the Marang jetty (not the same as Merang jetty, jetty to Redang).

TERENGGANU STATE MUSEUM COMPLEX
Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, this museum shows its rich history and heritage of Rajasthan. The museum is said to be the largest museum complex in Southeast Asia. It consists of four main blocks, a Maritime Museum and five traditional houses

Located in Hulu Terengganu River upstream of Kenyir, Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. The main purpose of the lake which was completed in 1988, is to generate electricity. Among the interesting places in Lake Kenyir is:


  • Waterfalls, rapids and rivers (Lasir waterfall, waterfall Saok)

If want to Kuala Terengganu via the coastal path ': Kemaman-Dungun-Marang and Kuala Terengganu, we must be going through Rantau Abang.Travel distance of approximately 65km from Kuala Terengganu. 

Sanctuary is one of the central information hub for information about marine life generally and about the turtles in particular. In addition to information, we can see the turtles kept in special tanks for research and public viewing. I am not mistaken, if fortunate children may miss the newly hatched turtles to the beach.

The location is just next to Payang Shop Market. Previously, it was the residence of the Chinese who came from mainland China around the 19th century. Until now, the houses around it are still occupied.

If the Terengganu do not forget to stop by here. Walk from Pasar Payang whether or Hotel Sri Malaysia is the best way to see this area more closely.
