Located in Hulu Terengganu River upstream of Kenyir, Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. The main purpose of the lake which was completed in 1988, is to generate electricity. Among the interesting places in Lake Kenyir is:

• Waterfalls, rapids and rivers (Lasir waterfall, waterfall Saok) 
• Caves (caves Bewah and guan Obedience)
• Herb Garden - 
• Gawi Kenyir river - where freshwater fish such as catfish and catfish. 
• Campsite and jungle tracking
• Paradise for anglers
• Provide facilities for water sports - canoeing, kayaking, boating, rafting etc.
• The entrance to the National Park

If interested can come here. Chalet, boating facilities are provided at the base of Gawi River. And for civil servants, the facility houses federal Kenyir Lake Resort are also available.
